The Pulcina coffee maker, designed by Michele de Lucchi, is the result of long research on optimizing the shape of the coffee pot to improve and enhance the organoleptic properties of coffee.
Thanks to the internal shape of its special boiler, Pulcina automatically interrupts the brewing of coffee at the right time. This interruption eliminates the strombolian phase — the final phase of extraction that generates a burnt, bitter aftertaste — and allows for only the best of coffee, enhancing its full-bodied, rounded aroma. The spout is well pronounced and its typical V-shape, reminiscent of a chick's beak, is defined to perfectly cut the drop during pouring. Practical and functional, Pulcina does not require any special arrangements for brewing coffee compared to a traditional moka pot.
